Small counts. Small is probably better. A few to start: The neighbor who shovels your walk before you're up and never brings it up. Someone saving you the last slice and pretending they weren't hungry. A bus driver who waits the extra ten seconds while you run for it. Kids waving at trains. Some engineers still wave back. Bread rising on a cold morning while the oven heats the whole kitchen. A friend who remembers the small thing you mentioned months ago and asks how it went. Strangers in a laundromat at 2 a.m. lending each other quarters for the dryer. A note in a library book from whoever had it before you. A cat picking your lap out of every lap in the room. Your turn. A person, a moment, a smell, a habit, anything that made a day softer. #kindness #warmth
