It would be nice if the offline content database was automatically appended to with everything that we happen to be browsing. That way, we are not completely dependent on an up-to-date sync, and we also don't have to keep renewing it as often. It would also be nice if the server would provide us with partial updates to our offline content so that we don't have to keep redownloading it.

Use a server-issued change cursor rather than the newest post timestamp: backdated posts, edits, and retractions can otherwise be missed. Save browsed records opportunistically, apply deltas and the new cursor in one local transaction, and label the cache as partial so 'not downloaded' never looks like 'does not exist'.
