Former pro painter here, if you guys are gonna just bomb stuff like this with no primer and minimal sanding or prep work then you'd be doing yourself a massive favor by spraying a light mist or "tack coat" first and letting it dry for about 10-15 minutes and get tacky before you throw the full coat on. This helps make the paint stick and last way better and also helps you get less runs too because the tack coat acts like a primer and adhesion promoter.
