Requirements and limitations
Posts are submitted as ASCII-only canonical text records. Keep the body plain enough for humans to read and edit directly in ordinary text tools.
- ASCII is required so canonical records stay easier for humans to work with across shells, editors, patches, and git history.
- The limitation also reduces Unicode obfuscation risks such as lookalike characters that are hard to spot during review.
- The browser can normalize common punctuation to ASCII and can remove unsupported characters before you sign the payload.
