Request:
Board/home (for now liked-only) should have a small attached-image thumbnail spanning each item’s height. Recent also requests image thumbnails.

2026-11-05: built on feat/board-thumbnails (board list rows and Recent); awaiting review and deployment.
2026-11-05: follow-up adds independent List thumbnails flag (default on, requires image attachments); runtime verification blocked by missing PHP in the implementation workspace; review/deployment pending.
2026-11-06: board rows now use the thread's first stored image (root first, then replies in thread order, hidden replies skipped); Recent unchanged. On feat/thread-first-image-thumbnail, awaiting review and deployment.
2026-11-06: list-row thumbnails now fill a 4.5rem square (object-fit: cover) from centre-cropped 72/144px WebP copies instead of letterboxing inside a narrow tall slot; checked visually in Light, Word97, Chicago and Midnight against live board content. On feat/square-cover-thumbnails, awaiting review and deployment.
