Necessary/useful instructions
docs/workflow/one_shot.md, Entry and authorization: requiring a recorded bounded outcome and exclusions before implementation kept checklist items 2–5 out of the change. Retain.docs/workflow/one_shot.md, Execution and evidence ("Preserve the original request/scope and append dated decisions, discoveries"): two planning assumptions from the checklist were wrong. The record keeps them visible as corrections instead of rewriting the plan. Retain.Host
AGENTS.mdcomponent-reuse rule together withdocs/reference/pagination.md: inspecting canonical components before building showed that qdb's numbered pagination is a legacy exception. Tag pages' keyset adapter was the right component to extract and share. Retain.docs/effort-estimation.md, One-shot checkpoints: an execution-entry revision with a "new understanding" reason fit this case cleanly. The schema-version contract raised the projection without changing scope. Retain.
Redundant/unnecessary instructions
No supported findings.
Inapplicable instructions
Extended estimates: enabled by default, but the cycle has no real alternatives or work units, so no unit estimates were recorded, as the guide allows.
Uncertain assessments
One-shot authorization came from the user's "yes, query parameter name should be q", which replied to the agent's proposal to run item 1 as a one-shot. The workflow says a question about implementation cannot authorize execution. The agent judged that a direct "yes" to a concrete one-shot proposal is explicit enough, and recorded the exact wording so a reviewer can disagree.
CONTRIBUTING defines a schema change to include "a query that depends on" a core table. Read literally, that covers almost every new query. The agent followed precedent, where versions 25, 39, 40 and 43 bumped for query-only changes. A clearer host rule would remove the guesswork.
